We are currently fundraising for our Envisioning Detroit Greenways, a grassroots engagement process to help us creating the best bicycling infrastructure in the world. Detroit has some very wide roads with low traffic volume. There's a great opportunity to add bike freeway infrastructure similar to what you might find in Europe.
You know how safe and quick is it biking on the Dequindre Cut. How can we implement something similar on our major Detroit roads?
We do anticipate a majority of the funding for this project will come through grants with additional fundraising through events and donations.
