Volunteer Cleanup Event on Saturday, April 8th

Registration is closed for this event
We're giving the bike lanes and sidewalks on St. Aubin a deserved makeover.

Some bike lanes and sidewalks in Detroit need a bit of TLC. The ones along St. Aubin just northeast of Eastern Market are in extra need of attention. This route, also known as the Hamtramck Connector, is part of the planned Inner Circle Greenway, too.

On Saturday, April 8th from 9am to noon, we're going to give St. Aubin a makeover in partnership with the City of Detroit and with help from GFL (Green for Life), Meijer, and the Polish American Historic Site Association.

Won't you join us? We need volunteers to help us remove debris and vegetation from the bike lanes and sidewalks.

The City has recently run a skid steer along the street which removed much of the heavy sedimentation. Our volunteer crew will come through on the 8th to clean what remains, including the sidewalks. The City will then run their sweepers on the street afterwards. We're going to be focusing on St. Aubin between Mack and Warren. If we have time, we may continue north of Warren Ave.

Volunteer sign in is at the St. Albertus parking lot on the northwest corner of Canfield and St. Aubin..
