I agree with your article and most of your photos are valid, however this one I think is misleading…. Not only is the bike lane blocked but the entire road. Also the state has had strict enforcement of traffic laws… So while the roads seem to be becoming less pedestrian friendly I would argue simply the fact that since people no longer drive recklessly around the island without consequence it has become more pedestrian friendly.
The reason we included this photo is it supports our position that public access to Belle Isle has been compromised — more so than we believe is necessary. That includes access by bikes, foot, and motor vehicles.
